I have an opportunity to get my hands on a Zenith or an A4. I've heard good things about both. I'm wondering if anyone here has any experience on both of them and could compare them. Thanks!

  2. I currently play a Godin A4 fretless, and find the quality to be higher than my Epiphone EB 2.

I've played the Zenith. Beautiful bass. It was fretted but I'd have a fretless if I had one. The Carvin AC40/AC40F is worth considering too.

The Zenith is pretty but the Godin is better built and, even when you play it acoustically, you can easily see how much more resonant it is. It's the A4 in a walk.

I cant compare the two but I just bought a new A5 Ultra fretless and its alot of fun to play, great tone and feel and yes does seem like very good quality so far.

    good luck with your decision.
