EQ settings

    Can anyone help me with the eq settings on my fender 60 wat i played alot of old metal and i even dable in jazz and blues and i was curious can anyone recommend any settings? the amp hass a bass low mid, high mid and a treble knob. It seems everything i try sounds like crap...maybe because i dont know anything about EQ. thanks in advance

    well,

    just add in lots of bass, and really make it sound BIG. use the low mids for added punch and authority. use the middle mids for a more upfront and chewy fingerstyle sound. and add in enough highs for an airy dash of articulation and detail.

    there's no one setting, cause your EQ settings are as personal as your own personality. but use these guidelines, and you should find a tone that suits you and your music.

    Also remember that the tone you love when practicing by yourself may sound like mud when you play with a band.
