EQ tweaking questions.

  1. I got to hear my new (used) Warwick Streamer Pro-M 5 in the mix yesterday and compared it to my P-Bass. The Warwick has a very growly, mid-rangey tone that has no/very little thump. I grabbed my P-Bass and noticed that it is the bassiest bass that ever bassed...ever! ;)

I messed around with my SVP-Pro's graphic EQ until I found that boosting the 90Hz slider almost all the way up gives the warwick some fat bootie that comes close to my P-Bass thump.

The Streamer has one EMG pickup with no onboard preamp. I'm in the process of restoring it's origional electronics and pickup. Why would someone screw up such a nice bass? That's why I got it so cheap.

Anyone else on the forum boost frequencies around 90Hz to add thump? I'm curious...
