I just got my custom ER-25's today. They are fantastic. The only problem I'm having is that they seem to move around in my ear canal just a little bit, but enough that it seems like sound is getting around them when they loosen up. There is a very noticeable difference between when I have them in tight and when they loosen up a bit (which is within minutes).

Are they supposed to be worn tight? As in, if I'm holding them tight to my ear, but not blocking the filter, is that how they are supposed to sound? Or is it actually the natural position for them to be a little bit loose?

I am wearing them with the dots pointing downwards and in the correct ears.

Thanks for any help you can give.

They MUST have an air seal on all surfaces to work correctly - in other words, push 'em in until tight.

If there's an air gap, they can't work as intended.

    Thank you

I figured out that smiling/laughing is what triggers them to come loose. Anyone else run into this, or have any ideas for a solution?

The problem may have come from the way the impression was made, and some technicians are better at it than others. Did whoever made yours get you to move your jaw around while the mold compound was still liquid and give you a block to keep your mouth open an inch or two while it solidified?

Other than that, don't smile or laugh. Keep your game face on. :D

  5. I had a thirty day warranty on mine. Any problem would be corrected at no charge. Give them a call

It may sound gross, but perhaps if you stick each in your mouth and moisten it before inserting them, you'll get a better seal?
