I wanted to give a big shout out for Erik Sanko and Skeleton Key.

For those of you not familiar- Erik is an amazing bass player. He was a founding member and the bassist of NYC's downtown powerhouse faux jazz ensemble The Lounge Lizards, and in addition to some other really cool projects and solo work, he is the frontman, bassist and songwriter for Skeleton Key. Skeleton Key is one of the most original bands out there today. Aggressive pop rock meets the downtown NYC scene.

After some years since their last studio effort, Skeleton Key has just released a new Ep with the indie label Do Tell Records. Check out www.dotellrecords.com and www.skeletonkey.org. SK also has a myspace page where you can sample some music form past releases.

Like all other Skeleton Key releases, there is some amazing bass work and some great writing on the New EP, so i cannot recommend it enough.

    Enjoy!
