I'm thinking about buying a new bass today (Ernie Ball stingray) and was wondering if there is a difference between the ernie balls with writing on the headstock, and the ones with just a symbol.......are they older?....am i getting ripped off? I have no idea.

The earlier Music Man basses (made by Music Man, Leo Fender) only have the Music man logo...... after the company was bought by Ernie Ball, they add the "Ernie Ball" logo to the basses and guitars they started to make.......

    That´s the reason you´ll se Pre-EB MusicMan´s(before 1985 I think) and EB MusicMan´s.....

    hope this help.

  5. Yeah, OLP. The Osama Lando Parliament signature Stingray. I can't believe I got mine for only $2000. That guy really cut me a deal.

Funny thing is, before they were "known" by any means of the word, I stumbled across a few OLP's on ebay, and they were going for up to 500-600 US.
