This is a beautiful StingRay classic in black with a rosewood fretboard. It just got a new set of D'Addario strings and is sporting a tort pickguard. The neck is a true-oil finish with a compensating nut rather than the standard "shiny" finish that the more current StingRay Classics have. Comes with a beat-up, but functional Stingray 5 hard case.

I queried EBMM to find out the origin of this bass and got back the following.
"B050151 - This StingRay Classic was completed on December 8th, 2009. The color is Black with the Rosewood fretboard. It was originally shipped with a black pickguard to Guitar Center.

The StingRay Classic model was officially announced/introduced at NAMM 2010 (January). We did an early run as a Guitar Center Exclusive that had the standard necks and compensated nuts found on our standard StingRay model, that is what this is from."

Wear is typical player wear on the back, nothing through to the wood, as well as the usual superficial bumps on the head. A few light dings and some light surface scratching on the back and battery cover. The bass plays and sounds great. Not interested in trades. Thanks!

Looks like a 2 band EQ?

Yeah, it's a 2-band EQ. My personal favorite.

Are these bridges string through only or can you go through the back too?

That's an insanely good price for a Classic. And good weight for one too... my old one was 10.5 lbs. If I can free up cash, I'm all over this.

Looks like a quartersawn neck, too. Even if they didn't advertise it. Nice!

Yeah, I'm surprised as well. One more little bump before I move it along to the 'bay!
