LAST WEEKEND FOR OPEN SALE AT THIS PRICE!!

Going as low as I can go. Local sale fell through for now so back up it goes.

    >>>Trades: no longer looking for instruments, only current interest is a Barefaced 1x12 cab.<<<

Just acquired this in October and it's great, in fantastic shape with almost no visible wear, sounds killer and effortless to play. Ash body, natural with tort guard. Slim, quick maple/maple neck, lots of different tones and just a hair over 9 pounds. However after too many years of Fender-type controls I can't get used to the blade switch. Might change my mind and submit to the learning curve but for now am offering this up to fund adding a humbucker and maybe a preamp to another of my instruments.

In great shape, previous owner had the frets touched up before sending it along. Rear of body sports a couple pieces of clear plastic film, presumably to protect against buckle rash. Includes nicely constructed and durable OHSC also. $925 $899 $849. Local sale would be great, buyer to pay shipping otherwise (carrier of your choice, probably $50 - $75 depending on your location). Please start a conversation if you have questions or need further info. Not looking for other trades at this time. Thanks!

Sweet Sterling! I have an exact copy of yours, it's my favorite bass. Very reasonable price for an awesome bass.
    Good luck with the sale!

Weight is a little over 9 pounds (I am using the me on bathroom scale with/without method, getting between 9.1 and 9.3), and I'm with you both on 'awesome.'

One thing I like a lot about the pickup configuration is the way the phantom coil cuts single coil hum (in the #2 and #5 positions) but doesn't seem to change the character of the tone in the way that, for example, a side-by-side or stacked humcancelling jazz pickup does.

I agree with you about the pickup configuration.. really expands the tonal palette. Not huge fan of the lone humbucker at the bridge, adding the single neck pickup (and phantom) give you so many options.

You should jump on this Mal! :bassist::hyper:

Wow! That's a really great price on a Sterling in what appears to be excellent condition. I can't see this one being up for sale for very long.

Great bass at a low price! You can do any style of music and get any tone you want with this instrument. :)
