ernie ball silhouette bass

    I've been thinking... this thing they call a bass guitar (29 1/2 in scale), is it a baritone guitar or a piccolo bass...?
    It seems to short for a short scale bass but to long for a long scale guitar... what do you guys think of it? how is it tuned? is there any one out there that as one?

  2. Its not a baritone guitar... baritone guitars are tuned a 4th below an normal guitar. The silhouette is a tic tac bass... its tuned like a guitar (EADGBE) but its an octave lower, like a bass. The Fender VI that Jack Bruce made famous is a tic tac bass. Dan Electro also makes tic tac basses.

    I think all of that is correct... all of that stuff from above is from what I remember from Embellisher's post on the same subject in another thread.
