Seattle, WA: After experiencing quick success with the original ESO Strap in 2015, the company has just expanded their line with the introduction of a bass strap. Their patent pending designs are offered in 7 colors and manufactured in Seattle, WA.

Here are the main selling points of the ESO Strap:
    • Patent Pending - Contoured "S" shape avoids pressure points and never cuts into your neck.
    • Patent Pending - In-seam pick pockets enable you to seamlessly replace or store your collection; bypassing any interruption to the music.
    • Two smooth stop adjustors to achieve the perfect length, without taking your guitar off.
    • High density foam core for optimal comfort and minimal aesthetic.
    • Interior heavyweight backing designed for long term strength and flexibility.
    • Reinforced stitching on all critical points throughout strap.
    • 1 oz urethane DWR moisture coating to keep perspiration out.
    • Hand crafted Brazilian leather end pieces.
    • Available in left or right-handed.

You can check out their full line at www.esostrap.com

I just ordered one as well. I have been using a Levy leather strap for a few years. Well made but the adjustment is too hard to change on the fly.

Cool theory....Just a bit too much metal to mess up the finish on your instrument for my liking....

The pics of the black strap the adjusters look to be plastic. You have a valid concern. I emailed Eso to ask them.

How would the metal be on your instrument? Or do you keep you strap on the instrument? I use straplocks, so maybe I'm missing the issue.

Sitting on a stand....Strap still attached in a gig bag....Strap flopping around while you change instruments....etc....etc....

  8. Would you please consider posting a review here? Curious minds and all that...

    Sincerely

    Andy

I'm not too fond of the colors. I've been looking for a strap for my several maple and ash clear coat basses - so a light tan. But nothing close. That's a shame, they look pretty comfortable.

I guess my biggest concern is durability. From the pics, the cloth looks a little thin. But I'll find out shortly.

Looks like metal to me for sure, but possibly plastic on the black one- from ESO website: hero_slide_1.

This looks really cool, but they don't have leopard print. So I'm out. ^_^

If they're metal we'll have to alert the relic'd crowd!

Wondering what material these straps are made of?..I don't see that info anywhere.
Seriously thinking of trying one of these...they look great. SO tough to find good straps in stores these days.
Honestly not loving the buckle on the front (since there are two buckles no way to avoid that) but not a blocker issue. :)

...unless one of you looks up my home address and snags it from my front door.

They look comfy, but that's what I said about my last bad strap, so I'll wait for folks here to review them. I do need a new strap though...

It's 3.5" at its widest around the shoulder and tapers down to 2" at the ends.

I ordered one of these last week as well. It's due to arrive today. I'll follow up after I have a chance to check it out.
