Essex SJB-62 vs. MIM Fender Jazz

    I really want a jazz bass but the MIM is just a little to exspensive right now. Please, for those of you that own both could you help.

    I want a trebely jazz sound played primarily with a pick.

    I play Emo-Punk as well.

    Go for the MIM Fender! A much better instrument over all, IMHO.

    Would you guys get over it? Essex's are great for the price, but are far from great.

    Yes, as a matter of fact, I have one (J style with block inlays.) It looks nice. Playability is another matter. Fret work is terrible.
