Essex SPB-57TM or MIM Fender Precision Bass

    If it was me, I'd get the SX (oh wait, I already did that! :) )

    The body on them is about the same quality. If you're changing out all the hardware anyways, it comes down to:

    1) Do you want it to say Fender on the headstock
    2) Will you like the neck on the SX as much, even though they are very similar.

    It also depends on what you can get the Fender for. If the Fender is like $200-$250 I'd probably get it, if not, go for the SX and set it up to your liking and pocket the extra money, or spend it on some more gear!

    AMEN! i say get the sx cheaper and your gonna mod both of them might as wlel have some more money to mod unles the mim is cheaper .
