I'm looking at using four cigar box pickups along the strings to cope with a 4" radius. With a curved wooden cover over that assembly it's a ramp. I then need to look at the piezo options. One is to build an ABG type saddle in a slot, with a standard piezo element at the bottom, which is fine, but action adjustment would be annoying. Another option that occured to me was using piezo saddles on an individual bridge piece arrangement, carrying the curve of the pickup cover/ramp back. However, these are not cheap. Has anyone tried burying a flexible piezo element (I have one in the spares box), or piezo film under individual metal bridge elements? Would this work?
