B series in great condition. I'm in new jersey. $400 plus shipping.
this one is eight ohms...
here's a photo...
Couldn't you purchase this one then rewire it? Is there a difference in the drivers between 4 and 8 ohm vl-210?
price drop to $325!
Will go on ebay next week...
check it out!
Don't Ebay it. I sent PM.
I'm scrambling to get the cash...someone PLEASE buy my Aggie GS115!
Buy my Ampeg Combo!
Brooklyn, where in NJ are you? I might be interested. I'm NW in Sussex county.
Nossir! The mid and bass drivers are probably 4 ohm wired in series, or 16 ohm wired in parallel (most likely scenario). Plus, the crossover is designed for these driver impedances. The 4-ohm version will probably have 8 ohm drivers in parallel.
Bottom line is, you can't simply rewire!
I've return everybody's pms. I'll be back in the country sunday night.
...i don't think it's the "B" series with the red/black lettering. The later B series had red/white labels with heavier magnets in the main drivers & possibly different shaped tweeters...
Whatever her name is, I'm takin' her home, fellahs.
...IIRC, there never was a "C" series & there was TWO different horn styles, round/square...
Having already sent the seller payment, I would definitely appreciate someone weighing in with the definitive word.
I'm still going under the assumption that this is the "B". I DO think there was a "C".
...how would you describe the "C" then?...
PS: I had a "B" w/red & white lettering that was one of the last VL's made & it said "B" on the back plate
Just going by the description posted here on bgra.net by another owner:
I have no photos.
There was a C series. You can always email John Dong at EA-the source. The C series has 120 ounce magnets. The drivers are still available from EA...
