On the line 6 website there's videos which personally really really sell it to me, and i think hell with a bass that can do that why have any other? but partially i dont like the shape of the body, only minor but y'know. It's also far too complicated to use live, i mean slip on a swithc n you'll turn from the stingray setting to the upright would that go down well?

I dunno, theres something about it that just doesnt do it for me, though for recording its a definate must have, things like body shape, weight, practicality dont matter in a recording environment if you have more time on your hands.
Also GAK is a very very reliable website to buy from so if you do choose to buy the variax get it from there.
