EV Cabs

    Are these any good. I have never had the chance to play through one. I have the changce to pick one up used for $100.00. It has a 15" speaker and is 8ohm.

    I think they are very good. E-V makes some of the best MI speakers around, and the cabs they designed are on the large size, like they should be. They're tuned for 42 Hz, though, and not low-B 31 Hz.

    $100 is a steal, and the E-V driver is easy to recone.

    Is this a B-115 with two round ports in the front?

    Unfortunately I don't know. I am receiving this information second hand from a some kid that works at the store. I am going to check it out tonight. If it is nice shape and sounds good I will be picking it up and pairing it with a Peavey Firebass head.
