Eventide Instant Flanger

    So I heard some comments about these that has me interested - mainly because of the "envelope" setting where it triggers the sweep based on note dynamics (instead of using a constant LFO).

    Soo. . .looks like these are hard-to-find "vintage" units that I'd have to pay $$$ for and then still break out the soldering iron :). Anyone know of any modern effects units that have a convincing model of this?
  2. The Akai Intelliphase does envelope-triggered phasing--not the exact same thing, but close. It's pretty fiddly, though, and I just use the Intelliphase for its classic '70s phase sound.
  3. That's an effect on the Orville isn't it?

    It may be a multieffect, but I'm not ashamed to say it's one of the best effects you can buy if you can afford it. If you can get one with the remote you'd basically have all the effects that you can dream up right there in your rack to mess around with.
