Ever heard of a bass player using Gibson strings?

I was just wondering if anyone out there has ever used or know of anyone that uses Gibson bass strings.

I can understand why no one uses Gibson bass strings. I only asked because I got sponsored by Gibson a few years back & their bass strings are pretty bad. I put them on once played for a minute & took them off. http://www.mp3.com/leftundone

I'm not picky. I suppose I shouldn't even post in the string forum. I bought a bunch of Rogue strings from MF that said "Made by Gibson." I thought they were just fine.

  4. yea, i bought soem rogue strings made by gibson too. theyre pathetic, they sound good when you take em out of the package, but after 2 days, theyre pretty much dead.

Where're on the same page here. The first time I put them on, they popped off. I strung them tightly & played for a few hours. The strings lost the new sound right away. I only use them now for my practice basses. Otherwise, I stick to Medium size Bass Boomers.

Yes, but this seems to happen w/ most strings I buy. I think my sweat is acidic or something. Also, some people prefer dead sounding strings.
