Just played this at Eldery, best playing bass in the store (and i don't usually play 5s or fretless), sounds great too. Unfortunately for the builder, a Google search only pulls up Epiphone Allen Woody signature models. Anyone ever seen these or is this just a one off? 2015-03-27 11.43.20. 20150327_113343.

That looks like maybe a one off custom from some small builder. Sorry, I know that doesn't help, but I've heard of "woody" tone and Allen Woody, but never Woody Basses.

I see some Carl Thompson resonances here.

Rimini has a "Woody" model, a semi-acoustic take on their Mondial, but it's definitely not this.

From the Elderly listing, the builder is Jared Curtioff, who looks to have a profile on TB, although hasn't been here in a bit.

I like it, kind of a a Les Claypool look to it. What's up with D and G string spacing though, do all Badass V bridges bend the strings like that? is it set or through-neck?

    Definitely Carl Thompson inspired

  11. Very Carl Thompson looking...The builder is lucky that a search for "woody" only shows the Allen Woody..it could be a lot worse..haha..

Reminds me of that "Toy Story" joke:

Two grade school kids playing with their Toy Story dolls:
    Girl: "I've got a Buzz"
    Boy: "I've got a Woody"

Strangely, 10 years later, they would have the exact same conversation in an entirely different context. ;)

That isn't the only model of Woody bass. Here's a link to a pic of Reggie Washington playing one that looks like a j-bass body with a 3x1 headstock.

    Reggie Washington joins Markbass

If you Google Reggie, there are a ton of pics showing him playing that bass.
