Evil Dead The Musical

Discussion in 'Off Topic [BG]' started by blendermassacre, Mar 7, 2010.

  1. Went and saw Evil Dead the Musical last night. It was freaking epic. Blood was spurted into the crowd. Deadites were chainsawed to their end. There was even singing and dancing. If you get a chance to see it, I wouldn't pass it up, if you're into that sort of thing. The story is basically Evil Dead 2, with some various lines and themes from the other two movies.

P.S. the fake blood that got on me smelled like laundry detergent. weird.

An evil dead musical sounds rad. I wonder if it's around here.....

  13. Who DARES to try to fill the shoes of the one and only Bruce Campbell lol
  14. It's not a traveling show, as far as I know. It was put on by a local theater company. The guy who played Ash was pretty beefy, with a strong chin.

That sounds brilliant! I remember taking Evil Dead 2 round to a friends, having had a few drinks the whole house laughing part just cracked us up, and I think it's the main reason my friend went and bought the film afterwards.

the site you linked has tour spots and dates..i mean it IS your link..im not sayin im just sayin :D

  17. I'm asuming those are dates where the show is playing. Same script / songs, different actors / production. The actors last night were all from KC theatre companies.

A local company here in DC did the production at Halloween. I went with my wife and some friends and it was fantastic! I (of course) was the only one who had seen all the movies (several times) and was howling with laughter at the lines but everyone really enjoyed the show even if they weren't in on all the "subtleties" of the Evil Dead saga.

Highly recommended if you can find a production!
  19. im definatly going with my friends to the one in virginia. looks awesome
