Excellent carved orchestral instrument

    Description: Price: $15,000 ono
    Description (from appraisal at Robertson and sons Violin Shop):
    "The bass is labeled "Matthew Charles Bollinger, Sydney 1993." The two-piece maple back has a prominent figure ascending from the the center joint. The ribs are of similar maple. The neck and the scroll are of fairly plain maple. The two-piece spruce top has a narrow width grain throughout. The varnish is red-brown in color."

    Upper bout: 19 1/2"
    Middle bout 14 5/8"
    Lower bout: 27 1/2"
    String length:41 3/4"
    This instrument is in excellent condition and the sound is strong. This hand-made instrument has previously been played in the Sydney Symphony Orchestra, Fort Worth Orchestra and the Dallas Opera Orchestra. The instrument is currently in Denton, Tx (near Dallas).
