So Bass Central has another one of these Bubinga topped Euro LX's coming in December. I called and made the deal, so it will be mine by Christmas. What do you other exotic Spector owners think of them now that you have them?

    Pretty!

You should have seen the exotic Spectors at the DC GTG a couple weeks ago. Man, oh, man.....

    Look at the pics.

I can tell you that I did not like the tone pump pre-amp whatsoever. I cut out the tone pump and put in an EMG BQC system, and it rocks. I am also in the process of changing out the bridge pick up. I am taking out the EMG 40DC and putting in an EMG 40CS. But overall, I love the way my bass plays and feels. Enough to modify the electronics package. ;)

  5. They're certainly gorgeous instruments. I'm sure you'll get it and love it.

I think that is one of the best looking Spectors out there. Congrats.

Killer Spector! It reminds me of the early 80's Spectors. Josh Curry has a killer spalted Spector I'd kill for! Congrats!

Yeah the redwood burl and the exotic walnut US models have had me drooling many a time, but I'll settle for the Euro LX with Bubinga considering the list price difference is about $4K! Can't wait though, this makes Spector #3 (a 98 SSD Euro and an 83 US from the original factory). I'm not up to Josh Curry's collection of Spectors just yet, but not too shabby (especially when you throw in the P-Bass, custom 5, Hamer 8, and Hamer 12). I'll post a quick review when it arrives next month.

I'm not a fan of bubinga but all Spectors are great in my book. I have a Euro 4LX and a special order Euro 4 LX fretless with ebony fingerboard coming in march.
