My question kinda got buried in my J bass thread, so here goes...

Does anyone here have any specific experience with Mighty Mite replacement necks? I bought what was advertised as a fretless J neck on eBay today, only to find it's actually a P neck. However, it has an Ebanol fretboard (good) and is priced right (better). So I may take it after all.

I'm concerned it's going to be too chunky, though. Can anyone comment about MM P necks in general, or their fretless P necks in particular?

I have Mighty Mite jazz neck, Maple Fingerboard. It is great! I gave it some extra sanding and finished it in 5 coats of tung oil. It is a little thicker than my older jazz necks, but Fender made them in all different thicknesses also. I had no problem playing mine. The fret work was decent!

    Good Luck

    Thanks for the feedback!

But, this morning I finally decided to say the hell with it, and I ordered a Moses unlined fretless neck. I wasn't quite up to risking $100 on a P neck that I may or may not have liked widthwise.

    Moses, here I come!
