Experience with the AKG WMS40 wireless system

Discussion in 'Miscellaneous [BG]' started by Rockin John, Aug 4, 2003.

  1. I'm flirting with the idea of going wireless. But this would not be a "bass only" system. I need a radio mic setup for another application and, according to the AKG website,

    http://www.akgusa.com/wms40.html

this baby is good for both. (Also, I've been emailing AKG about their product an like the looks of it). They say it's good for 35Hz and the compression is well suited to bass....but they would say that, wouldn't they?

The PT40 back pack accepts a range of inputs from mic to bass.

Now, neither application is professional so I'm prepared to accept a less than top drawer setup, especially for the mic side. It's none diversity UHF.

Any feedback (not audio feedback, I hope    ) gratefully acepted.

    Cheers.
