My band tunes to d standard or (DGCF). Rignt now I string my MM SR-5 with a heavy Guage 5 string set to ADGCF, or down a whole step from standard, having the A string for Octave unison parts and playing position comfort. I was thinking about getting n American Jazz 4, stringing it with the first four strings of a super light guage 5 string set, tuned up to D. anybody forsee neck tension problems with this kinda setup?
