I have decided that I want to make the move to an extended range bass after playing 4 and 5 strings for the past 10 years. I was thinking of starting with a used Conklin GT-7 but I am having a hard time finding any up for sale at the moment. I realize that this is a somewhat unusual instrument and I wondered if there was a special hidding place on the web specifically for extended range bassists, a place where I might find some classified ads.

    Thanks!

I would also highly recommend www.extendedrangebassist.com as a great reading source about ERB's. Everything on Tritone's list is great :D

There seems to be one or two for sale on Ebay all the time. Have you checked there?

    Mark,

I have checked the bay and, at the moment, there is just a nice left handed GT-7 for sale. I guess I just have to be patient :)

    Thanks :)

Yeah, keep cheking. They're a fairly common item on "The Bay".
