I bought a used Pro 400 recently and want to add an extension cabinet. The paired cab for this unit was the 115 PRO EXT which, like the amp, is discontinued.

What would be an equivalent extension cab? The 115 PRO EXT had 4 ohms impedance. I looked at the Bassman 115 cab but it is rated at 8 ohms so I'm not sure if its a suitable substitute.

Look for a 4 ohm 1x15, (which won't be easy, but do-able), or maybe a 4 ohm something else. Of course, 2 15's would be ideal, but many people, myself included, have run a 15/210 set up with stellar results.

    Marshall's MBC115 has a 4ohm impedance and a power handling of 300W (continuous) and 600W (program).

The old Fender Pro 115 EXT has a rating of 500w program / 250w continuous so it looks like it would work. Is this correct?

    Should be fine.

    Thanks. Much obliged.
