Hey, does anyone have their eyebrow or belly button pierced? If so...does it hurt? Does it get in the way?? ETC? I am thinking about getting both done, but not sure yet.
The belly button piercing can't be that bad. My 16 year old daughter had it done recently. She is not very pain-tolerant (read WIMP). She said it was not a big deal. All her friends have had it done too. Can't comment on the eyebrow piercing. ahhhh, human pin-cushions.........
OH MY GOD IT'S YOU. we're so surprised that you're back. We think this is the right occassion for some party. PARTY WITH ME. please
Ahhh, yes ... mutilation for the sake of being "different." How do you suppose these piercings will improve your stake in the world? Make you more employable? Get you a better mate? Impress your puerile friends? Just curious.
A female friend of mine who's working in a medical profession strongly discourages bellybutton piercings for women. The holes in the tissue can cause problems in pregnancy/giving birth IIRC. Navel piercings can also take up from 4 months to one year(!) to heal.
See thats what I don't get, I have nothing against people who get them, but it seems everyone trying to look different looks the same.
I like to play with girly's belly button peircings... Why do you guys always assume that someone wants to be different when they are talking about something like this? *shrugs* I disagree about the lip piercings being perfect, tho. If not done proerly, it can get ugly!
My friend has a few piercings. The belly apparently does hurt a bit. She bumped it again and it got seriously infected. So too with the pregnancy thing, she just took it out for the duration then had it re-pierced months after. I think eyebrow rings make the person look dumb. It pulls one side of their eyebrow down giving them a real "DURRRRRR" look about it. Merls
How safe a belly piercing is depends on the piercer, and your own personal care of it. If you don't wash it everyday, or take it out too soon then you are obviously gonna muck it up. Ours is fine and didn't hurt one bit.
What I don't get is why you feel obliged to comment. I don't think anybody asked for your precious advice. I don't remember anybody saying they did it to be different, neither.
Being different was implied by Munji. On the same token if you are against people posting their comments, why did you post? I was just suggesting that the reason that I have heard many times for why people do things such as this is in error. I have no problem with people who want to get piercings ect. I think that there are other reasons than "being different"
I'm a grumpy old man, in my day, we had our heads pierced, with railroad spikes, every day, with no antiseptic, no anesthesia, by a blind man, and we liked it! So my guess is that Munji has a lot of piercings.... -sort of like this with a Lenny Kravitz style nose-ring.
