    Hello TB,

Up for sale is my F-Bass VF5-J.
Fully loaded, bells and whistles galore, custom ordered by me in 2017.
Lethal Ash/Maple/Maple jazz bass vibes and Marcus Miller slap tone for days.

This is an Orthodox Jewish corporate band I’ve been gigging with for a while in LA.
These gigs are the typical - zero rehearsal, musicians show up and sight-read and hope everything goes well - kind of scenario.

Bass is in showroom condition. Absolutely mint/flawless. Meticulously looked after, routinely cleaned, polished and professionally set up.

This bass has the 18mm customization option ($900). It changes the neck width, neck pocket and pickup size.
Perfect for those who prefer a faster neck on the VF5-J’s with slightly tighter spacing.

    - Shipping/Insurance costs to be split.
    - Willing to travel for a local pickup (up to 100 miles)
    - No trades please.

    Specs:

    - F-Bass VF5-J
    - Gloss Transparent Seafoam Green
    - Serial: 571117
    - Weight: 10lbs even
    - Year: 2017
    - Body: Northern Ash
    - Neck: Maple
    - Fingerboard: Birdseye Maple
    - Pearloid Block Inlays
    - White Neck Binding
    - 18mm String Spacing
    - Pickups: Aguilar 5J-HC
    - 70’s Pickup Position
    - Straplocks
    - Pearloid Maple Lead Serial Number

    F-Bass Preamp:
    (from the website)

“Our preamps are handmade right here in Hamilton using discrete components (transistors, resistors, capacitors) rather than over-engineered IC chips. This helps us achieve a more open and transparent sound that allows the instrument to translate its inherent tone without colouration. Our 3-band preamp controls Bass Boost, Mid Boost, and Treble Boost. When all are set flat at 0, there is no perceivable difference from your passive tone. This makes for an extremely predictable and shape-able tool to explore tones or to simply cater to various gigging environments. The 9V pre has a low draw allowing for approximately 500 hours of play. Now if your battery happens to die in the middle of a gig—don’t fret!— you can pop up the passive tone control to engage passive mode.”

    VF Series Preamp Controls:
    • 1st row starting closest to the neck: Neck Pickup Volume, Bridge Pickup Volume, Tone (pull up for passive mode, push in for active mode)
    • 2nd row starting closest to the neck: Bass Boost, Mid Boost, Treble Boost

That is an absolute smoke show of a bass. You definitely have an eye for aesthetics, and a killer hand for playing based on the videos. I wish I had the coin for the bass, and a fraction of the talent to make it worthwhile! GLWTS
