Up for sale is my beloved Callowhill (J)unk5. This bass is an absolute monster!! But alas, I have decided to go a different route with my basses. Undoubtably the finest bass I have ever owned (Sadowsky, Lakland, Modulus, vintage Fenders). An absolute tone monster (Nordy Big Singles) and extraordinarily light weight. Specs are as follows: Swamp Ash Body Trans Black finish. Maple neck with Macassar Ebony fretboard (blocks and binding) Nordy Big Singles Sadowsky preamp with VTC. Controls are Vol(passive/active switch)/Tone/VTC/stacked treble and bass. Bass was original set-up with an Aguilar preamp, hence the 5-knob set-up. The last knob is a dummy with Sadowsky preamp installed). 34" Scale 19mm Spacing 1.875" at the nut. Weight: 7.8lbs. Bass includes 3 pick guards. Tortoise, White Pearl, Parchment Pearl. Bass has a few dings and minor indents. Nothing that has damaged the finish. The back of the neck has a darkish smudge-type stain. Not sure what it is or what caused it (it was on the bass when I purchased it), but it cannot be cleaned off. You cannot feel it whatsoever. It is very minor and I tried to show a good picture of it. The minor indents do not show up in the pictures either. The difference in the white and parchment pick guards is greater than the photos show. The parchment pick guard matches the block inlays very well. No noticeable fret wear. These basses are everything people say they are. Rare, expensive and impeccable. The neck is the most stable neck I have ever experienced. In the two years I've owned it, I feel like I tuned the bass 4 times. I just cannot say enough about this instrument but I am a fickle person who just likes to change his toys every so often. So it goes. I will entertain trade offers (mainly 4 stringers/possibly 5) however I would prefer to net some cash in the trade. Not interested in Jazz basses or singlecuts. Really interested in high quality medium scales (Birdsong maybe?). $2400 including gig bag.
