  1. This is the body, bridge, knobs, pots and plates of a CIJ Geddy Lee Jazz Bass from the mid 2000's. Add to that a vintage b/w/b pickguard from a 78 Jazz, Dunlop Straplocks, Nordstrand NJ4 pickups, a Status Graphite neck and Hipshot ultralite tuners with a detuner on the E. Lovingly assembled and played, it is an awesome modern spin on a classic. Not mint, a couple of blemishes here and there but sounds and plays fantastic and weighs just over 9 pounds on the bathroom scale.
You also get the original strap buttons and pickups, and a vintage bridge cover and a pickup cover. The bass comes with a road Runner gigbag if you like. It's just not getting any time in my playing rotation and I think it's time for someone else to own it. $800 or b/o

That is cool! You didn't seek out black hardware for this build? ... although very cool looking as-is. GLWTS!

what's the neck profile like? Anything close to the original Geddy neck?

  10. I would consider trades, pm me and let me know what you have.

Jongor, I honestly don't remember the original Geddy Neck profile. I sold that neck years before I put this baby together. I would say it's definitely very Jazz-like at the nut but mybe a little flatter front to back.

Hows the action? is their a rod in the neck?

  12. Yes, a dual action truss rod. Action is sweet and low with nary a buzz to be found.

What I'm looking for trade wise is a GB Streamliner 900, a Bergantino 115, or similar. I also am thinking I want a black and maple Fender American Deluxe V Jazz, but that would involve some money from me. I also love tube power, but not Ampegs(no offense, just a preference)

    Peace

i'm not one who ever gives a damn about the color of my hardware, but this bass NEEDS a black bridge, tuners, and if we can find one (or paint one?) a black control plate.

this is one of those looks that pops up every now and again, the blacked out bass. looks really classy on a fender i think.

  14. I kind of like the chrome on black - looks kind of badass

    Peace
