  1. So I realized, after spending a little too much a couple of times, that I don't particularly like playing the fretless. It's nothing personal, but as much as I like the sound, I don't really care for the playing.

    At any rate, my loss is your gain - I've got this Gary Willis signature 5 string fretless Ibanez for sale, and I can't speak highly enough of it. Great mwah sound with the half-rounds that are on it, really aggressive flat tone, and super-hot with the flat black finish.

    Minor rash on the fretboard from the half-rounds, but I can't stand the "dead" sound of flatwounds. Any inconsistencies in the pics is a result of a dufus handling the camera, nothing else is cosmetically wrong with this bass... It's just hard to clean a flat black bass. :shrug:

    I'm looking for $400 shipped to anywhere in the US. PM me with reasonable offers and we'll talk. It's brand new for $650, and blemished on MF goes for $550, so I feel like I'm asking a reasonable price.

    Comes with handy-dandy Dickies gig bag.

    It's not as bad as the camera makes it out to be - the flash catches the light just so.

    Still got the plastic on the battery cover and control cavity.

    :EDIT: Specs:

    * GWB 3-piece maple neck
    * Basswood body
    * Ebonol fretless fingerboard
    * B105 bridge
    * SFR-GWB Custom neck pickup
    * Offset pearl dot inlay
    * Black hardware
    * EQB-GWII 2-band EQ

    Is this the ebanol fretboard?
  3. Yup. My bad, OP is edited.

    Not interested in trades, BTW, I'm trying to make up for the money I've spent lately on new toys.

    Well, unless you've got a Dingwall that you want to swap straight up... *yeah, right*
  4. ...Bump for the evening crowd...

    PM me with a reasonable offer.

    The fretboard pic really makes it look worse than it is - it's better than some I've seen at GC for sale with roundwounds on them.

    and....how wide the neck is at the nut.

    Thanks again.
  7. From my trusty English-only tape measure, and converted online to metric:

    *Nut Width: 1 3/4" - 44.45mm
    *String spacing at nut: 3/8" - 9.525mm
    *Bridge Width: 2 5/8" - 66.675mm
    *String spacing at bridge: 11/16" - 17.4625mm

    In fairness, it feels like the spacing is a little wider than 17.5mm, but I guess I'm just used to narrow string spacing, because that's what I measured.
