A couple of '76 - '78 vintage lefty P basses have hit the 'bay recently, and I was looking for estimates of what a fair price might be assuming good condition.

I found that they usually go for $900-$1200.

I wouldn't feel too bad about paying ~$1,500 or so for one of those. I recently traded a '75 Mustang bass to a shop that now wants $1,499 for it.

You're in luck, lefties are a tough sell on eBay. You might be the only bidder on any of those. I like that first one. It's nicest looking and the most valuable of the three. Try sniping it for $1001.

Well, $1,500 for a full-size bass seems to be a relative deal, considering that the shop I traded with wants that much for my Mustang now.
