Anyone using this as a HF speaker?
I know Audiokenisis uses it in the 1203 cab. It has an open chamber design.
I tried the 1203 and thought the driver in question sounded kinda harsh
but that might have been the enclosure design.
Looking for a smooth paper cone driver that goes up to 6-7k.
    Any info is appreciated.

I think you mean Faital? ;)

In which case, I've used the 4" version and it is extremely smooth if you want it to be. I think the perceived harshness/"growliness" in the Hathor mostly comes from Duke's design intention, same as the ultra smooth sound of the compression driver(s) in the Thunderchild cabs. Duke likes to zag where others zig.

Faital, you are correct. Too much coffee or not enough.
I agree with your assessment of Duke's design. Thanks for the confirmation.
    The 4" version looks good.

I'm mostly going by what Duke told me at the Seattle GTG when he brought along the first Hathor 112 cab, I still haven't
actually heard the production version. The four has a little more power handling than the three, FWIW.
