Family Tradition by Hank Williams, Jr.

Discussion in 'Tablature and Notation [BG]' started by warnergt, Dec 31, 2011.

  1. I know how to play it. I'm just wondering if somebody has the
score for Family Tradition that could answer a question.

The tune seems to be in 4/4 time. However, between the
verse and chorus, the lyrics seem to shift 2/4 and back.
How do they reconcile this on the score? Do they have a 2/4
measure between the verse and chorus and again between
the chorus and verse? ...or do they just leave it at 4/4 and
offset the lyrics through the chorus?

    No big deal. Just wondering.

It's just country with a punk attitude ..
Not ashamed to use same note to start and end a measure..
I just put a you tube vid up.. There's a few mistakes ..

    Thanks

From my recollection seems there's a 2/4 bar just before the last bar in the verse. Same thing with the chorus, I think.
