so i am starting to get into jazz and my teacher recommended me some jazz bass players such as : Paul Chambers, Ray Brown, Ron Carter, Steve Rodby, Dave Holland, Christian McBright and John Pattituci...
So i was wondering if you could tell me some recordings by these artists ...i am interested in studying their walking bass lines :D

  2. Paul Chambers: Miles Davis - Kind of Blue; Wes Montgomery & the Wynton Kelly Trio - Smokin' at the Half Note

Ron Carter: Jim Hall - Concierto; Jim Hall & Ron Carter - Alone Together

While you're at it, listen to the Bill Evans Trio albums "Sunday at the Village Vanguard" and "Waltz for Debby" but don't tell your teacher I told you to listen to those.

  3. OH, you want walking lines.

    Ok...

Paul Chambers: Miles Davis - Milestones; Miles Davis - 58 Miles

Ron Carter: Miles Davis - ESP
