Anyone every delt with the fan noise emitted by most pro-quality power amps?

I'm currently trying to decide between a couple of amps (Mainly QSC PLX vs. a Crown K2/CE4000)

It will be used in my school jazz band.

If you're playing in a big band-you won't hear the fan noise.....even if you're playing in a combo-once you start playing, you won't hear the noise.

The fans can get loud but you shouldn't worry about it unless you need it silent for use in the studio or something of that nature. Even quiet playing covers up the fan noise.

The K2 ain't got no fan.

I own the other two about which you've enquired....the fan noise is a non-issue outside of a studio.

I know. That's why I'm asking if fan noise is a big issue.

I've heard the K2 has less current draw, which is another big issue. But with QSC having the 6 year warrenty....
