Fantastic Teacher (upright + electric) in San Diego?

    Anyone have an idea of where to go to find a top notch bass teacher? I don't want the kid who works at the local music store who "also plays bass", I want someone who can help me drill my butt into shape with some serious, disciplined study. Latin, Jazz, Funk, Reggae. Ideally upright and electric (I'm an upright novice tho).

    Ideas?
