    G&L L2000 owners,

how do you have yours configured to get that fat P bass sound?

Jazz and MM sounds I can nail pretty well but P bass sounds come out muddy and flat. I generally just try to roll off the treb, and switch to the neck pickup.

Anything else I should be doing?

Oddly enough, you need to roll off the bass control a bit and use front pup only.

I flick the series switch, put it on the neck pickup, and lower the bass knob just a tab. try that.

  6. lower the volume a touch, as well. and of course, go passive...

I ran it passive, with a little treble rolloff, on the front pickup...

...until I got a real Precision, at which point I heard what I was missing and I traded off the L2000.
