Father's Day plans?

Gotta love my son. Every year we get together with our families at the same burger place. Simple, that's how we like it.

 

Kids said we can do anything I want.

I want to stay home and order pizza and wings.

 

First go watch our grandson race go karts he’s 9
Then after supper other son and family stopping by for dessert with us
Most likely get IM wishes from our two daughters

I love bacon but its really not good for me as I cant stop eating it.
So, once a year on fathers day i eat as much as i want and wash it down with an almost frozen coke in a can. I also got a beautiful birdsong bass a few weeks back and have only tried it with a small practice amp. I'll crank up the 300 watter and shake the windows for an hour or so.

My wife wants me to sleep in, which means about 6:30 to me. We are going to take the boys to see my father-in-law and run some errands and then hopefully I’ll get to run the mower for a while.

 

Church.

Come home a chill for a little while.

Hit the pool.

Grill some shrimp.

Snuggle with my girls on the couch and destroy them playing Mario Kart 8.

 

My son's a private pilot so he's going to take me for a ride over Central Oregon.

 

Taking my son to an indoor trampoline park, going to get some burgers after, and then playing guitar/bass the rest of the day. Good day.

 

Family over for breakfast, dinner with my wife at our favorite restaurant, then a evening w/ Buddy Guy.

 

I've never been a dad myself, so the only Father's Day-related event for me is calling my own (86-year-old) dad. Then it's on to the other main events of the day: Watching the US women's soccer team play their second World Cup match at noon, and a jam session tonight with several members of one of my bands and a guest keyboard player (drummer's cousin, who the rest of us have never met).
