Come on you know you dug it back in the late 80's early 90's, mine were Warrant catchey songs and cool hair, Winger had some decent stuff even though Kip took alot of crap, poison was probley the most reconized hair band of all, Good songs and bad hair, so lets hear from all you closent hair metal fans.

I liked the first Poison album ... it maked me laugh and happy ;)
And some stuff by Quiet Riot, Whitesnake, Great White (?), Mötley Crue, Ratt ...
It was fun ... sometimes ridiculous but fun anyway.

it you're specificaly talking about the LA style hair/glam/sleeze/pretty boy metal, then Great White's first LP and Crue's Shout At The Devil hold Tops in my book.

The only bands I can think of is Kiss and Motley Crue. I think GnR went through a bad-hair-day phase for a while but they seemed to have sorted that out, except for Slash but he looks cool anyways.

I used to be the biggest helix fan!
I saw them in concert so many times.
I loved Alice cooper, i think it's glam.
Ratt, motley crue (shout at the devil only),
triumph and others I can't think of right now...like stryper!(sp?)

I'm not a very nice person, deep deep down.
I am a fan of Hair Metal & I can probably still remember every lyric to the entire "Too Fast For Love" album. I didn't even realize it until I was driving with some friends in the car. The album was on & I was just singing along to it.
After a bit, they asked if there was any song on the album I didn't know every single word to, LOL.
I guess it should have been my cue to shut up, but instead I showed that I indeed knew the words to EVERY song.

When I moved out to L.A. in the early 90s, it was like heaven, being in Hollyweird nearly every night.

  9. Faster Pussycat. And yes, I'm serious.

    Trixter!

And by the way, children, Kiss, GNR and Triumph were not hair bands.

The album was self-titled, even though it was their 7th album.
That's your fave album, or your fave Hair Metal band?

I didn't get into the hair metal scene. There was probably only 2 other people who Exciter, Metallica & Slayer were back in the early 80's (pre Z-Rock) when I would board the bus with my boom box.

  20. Agree but Kiss certainly 'became' a hair metal band as soon as they smelled the money.

Hair Metal is a pretty vague term. I wouldn't call Scorpions 'hair metal' either but they definitely caught that wave along with a sh**load of other bands.

A little FinalNet went a long way back then!
