I'vem been listening to almost nonstop Who and Entwistle last night and today. Some of my favorite tracks are:

    The Real Me from "Quadrophenia"
Live At Leeds the whole original album - not the "remaster", except "Magic Bus" which is not a favorite
Dreaming From The Waist from "The Who By Numbers"
Ted End A typically funny song from his first solo album "Smash Your Head Against The Wall". The backing vocals on the chorus sound like a horn arrangement, it's a really good sound.
How Can You Do It Alone from "Face Dances"
    Sparks from "Tommy"
    Bargain from "Who's Next"

  2. Bargin
    My Generation
    Pinball Wizard
    Won't Get Fooled Again
    I Can See for miles

heck, now that i think about it, i don't think there one song from the who i don't like

All. I've learned more about bass playing and music in general from listening to Entwistle than anybody else.

He's always been my hero, and I'm deeply saddened by his passing.

For now, I'll just continue to listen to more recent live recordings. That's where he comes through best, and thus are temporarily my favorites.

I recommend The Who & Special Guests Live at Royal Albert Hall -DVD/Video. I believe it is the last gig Entwistle made with The Who, shot in 2001.

    YOUNGMAN BLUES

    THE REAL ME

Eminence Front- Huge whole notes on the verses and tasty "lead bass" on the choruses. What tone!
