Saw the Maidens last night and Wanda was amazing. She had a conservation of movement on her right had that baffled me considering how much she was putting out. To be honest the whole band was very good, I'll definitely go see them again. She was friendly too, much appreciated.

Tokyo Brass Style is all female. They are super cute and sound ballsy as all get out. The bass player is strong as an ox. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=juZcoC1_AOE Electric upright.

Tsushimamire is all female and I love 'em. The drummer kicks butt and the bass player sounds like King Kong. Punk, I guess. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_YTP9sBslqg The are the official band of the Powerpuff Girls. Indeed, listening to them is like being beaten up by three little girls.

Ida Funkhouser. She just got a gig with Prince. Just like Skeeter Harris.

Kyoubani -- World's best garage band.

I used to see her in Santa Cruz pre-B52s. She got fired for being too good-looking. Nice solid player, very good tone.

I forgot about Tai Wilkerfeld. Duh.

You've got good taste. I don't even like heavy metal, but Colporter is great. How does she get that bass to go so low. Must be an octave divider. It sounds like a brontosaurus wallowing through a swamp. How heavy can you get. Might have custom made amps to get that low. Very nice melody and harmony.

Do Re Me is hot to. What a ballsy sounding bass. Cool chords.

"Idiot Grin" the bass player is late though. Gotta practice that right hand.
