that's funny because my favorite genre to listen is "alternative" rock(hate call it like it but .....)but with my band we play fnuk..i can't stand playing dumb rock bass lines
  4. Country and Country Rock. Neil Young, Gram Parsons, Buffalo Springfield, Flying Burrito Brothers, International Submarine Band, Blue Rodeo, Johnny Cash, Dwight Yoakum, John Hiatt, that kind of stuff.
  5. I'm marking myself down as "Classic rock" here, but I think you forgot about 5 genres. Favorite's "Alternative rock" (A la Pumpkins).
  6. i'd have to say ska punk, and punk rock

but defintetly ska punk first, any song in the world can be a great ska cover (at the moment my bands covering Gina G, ohh ahh just a little bit. i think it sounds great!)

I can't vote (sob sob). You left off jazz (waaah). And then you went and lumped "rap" and "funk" in the same category (oh, the humanity!!). Of your choices, I would have voted for R&B, but to me, R&B is Earth, Wind and Fire, the Barkays, Motown, Parliament Funkadelic, Rufus, Tone Toni Tony, and a thousand other slammin' musicians. Not Snoop Dogg, Busta Rhymes, Lil Kim, Master P and P Diddy.

Oh well, my age is showing. :( :p

How about the genre I listen to the least: Electronic!;)
There! That was easier than picking out my favorite.
I love to many genre's to just pick one! :)

I think about half of what I listen to can be categorized as either progressive rock/metal or fusion. Then there's the rest.
  12. Since you left out Jazz-Fusion (apologies to Ed for puting those 2 words together), I'm going to have to say Polka :) . Wait a minute, that's not there either.

My favorite stuff to play is the blues.

Well, I like something in just about every genre in existence, from classical to jazz to funk to rap to metal to latin to country to whatever!

I added some categories to the poll, for all of you guys who were left out.

Anyone who voted for something because their choice wasn't up there, send me a PM and I'll change your vote.:)
  16. Well I voted for Alternative. How ever I like a various range of music.
I would have to say that if I was to place them in a order as to what I listen or like the most it would be like this.

    Christian Rock
    Celtic Music
    Irish folk Music
    Classical Music
    Electronic - ex. Crystal Method

The rest I like them as well they would fall in after these depending on what I am in the mood to listen to.

i voted for a bunch - and i guess i'm the only person who voted rap. if you had hip-hop i would have put that instead but you left me no choice.

there's something VERY cool about playing with a live drummer who can pull off all those crazy hip hop beats and a smokin MC.
