better is a relative term, so if people don't see this as trolling you may get a variety of answers, but IMO each company does what they do best. they are all fantastic quality but all very different. now if you were narrowing it down and say for example who makes the best jazz bass IYO, that would be a fair playing ground with relative results.

I vote Musicman because they got so much innovative products.

Fender is more for traditional and they got it right but its not my thing.

Yamaha, best value for the price IMO.

I used to be a Fender guy, but i am thoroughly a G&L man now. My L-2k USA is the only bass I have ever owned that I have kept the stop PUps in. Hopefully getting my hands on a Rick 4003 sooner than later though.

    Warwick.
    Warwick.
    Warwick.

Their products are brilliant. Well crafted with high end materials. You have got to love a company that reinvests such a high percentage of its profits into further developing its product line as well as setting the company up for years of success instead of lining their own pockets. Not to mention their commitment to being an eco friendly company.

    Warwick

    that is all.

p.s. second place Fender. Too many years of quality craftsmanship and innovation not to mention.
