Tell me about your favorite mid priced tuner sets out there. I’m thinking about something between Wilkinson and hipshot in terms of quality and price. Grover, gotoh and schaller come to mind. Open type clover is the goal.
    Thanks in advance.

Thanks. These look good. It’s my understanding that the bushings on these are a bit different from their USA counterparts and maybe standard fender size too? Something to consider.

I'm having a bass built and am going with Sperzel Trim-Loc tuners.

Open clover doesn't narrow the field very much. Do you want long stem or short, does it even matter. Traditional wind or reverse. Are you worried about weight at all. Do you want compact tuners or are the large ones okay. What size post do you want and what about finish. There isn't a thing wrong with any of the brands you have referenced.
