I was just curious to see what people think is the best bass to play rock with.
I'd say a G&L L2000 or L2500. Jazz, Precision, MM tones to a T. Plus a wad of other completely usefull tones.
I liked my L2000, and probably should have kept it, looking back. Oh well, live and learn.
G&L L2000, Rickenbacker, P-bass, Jazz Bass, Music Man stingray, Gibson T-bird can all rock pretty hard.
hell yes to the G&L L2000 tone!!!
I also love how my ESP LTD C-305 works with rock a lot.
P-bass or Rick (the model with the triangle inlays, 4003?).
For something more modern, G&L.
Warwick, Fender Jazz, Gibson Thunderbird, and G&L
Warwick and Hohner (people, try a Hohner, just not the b2b, and ull be amazed)
you must really love your hohner!!!
you just keep on talking about it!!
I guess I'll have to check 'em out now.

Need I say more?
