I'd say a G&L L2000 or L2500. Jazz, Precision, MM tones to a T. Plus a wad of other completely usefull tones.

I liked my L2000, and probably should have kept it, looking back. Oh well, live and learn.
  3. G&L L2000, Rickenbacker, P-bass, Jazz Bass, Music Man stingray, Gibson T-bird can all rock pretty hard.
  4. hell yes to the G&L L2000 tone!!!

I also love how my ESP LTD C-305 works with rock a lot.
  5. P-bass or Rick (the model with the triangle inlays, 4003?).

    For something more modern, G&L.
  6. Warwick, Fender Jazz, Gibson Thunderbird, and G&L :D
