Hi guys just wanted to know if any of you have a favorite rythym section bass & drum duo. Reason being I was listening to Livin Color's Vivid and Muzz Skillings and William Calhoun are locked in at the hip they are one of the tightest units ever, does anybody know what Muzz is doing now?

Paul Chambers, Jimmy Cobb, Bill Evans
Ray Brown, Ed Thigpen, Oscar Peterson
Victor Gaskin, Roy McCurdy, Joe Zawinul
    Eugene Wright, Joe Morello
    John Patitucci, Dave Weckel
    Ron Carter, Tony Williams
    Roscoe Beck, Tom Brechtlein
    Tommy Shannon, Chris "Whipper" Layton
    Duck Dunn, Al Jackson Jr.

  10. p-nut is one of my favorites- but put him together with chad sexton and you have modern rock's best rhythm section, for my money.

    we hope you are ok.

Well, they seem all about covered, but here are two I like:

Carol Kaye and Hal Blaine (Beach Boys)
Andy Rourke and Mike Joyce (The Smiths)

I'm not a genius. I'm just a hard working guy.

    A few more:

    Sting & Stewart Copeland
    Sting & Manu Katche
    Sting & Vinnie Colaiuta

Say what you will about Sting; the man knows how to pick a drummer.
  13. well i noticed many duo's that i haven't even heard of. mine would be
    Tom Hamilton & Joey Kramer
    Jason Newsted & Lars Ulrich
sorry, i can't think of any more.

sitting on a castle, on the floor with Ezmeralda, waiting for the geezer, captain crunch to come around. felling suicidal 'cos of certain situations, hanging from the stairs too long, i think i'm coming down....it's time to CRASH!!!

PHISH: Mike Gordan, Jon Fishman, Paige McConelly, and Tre Anastasio.

Listen to the jam on any recording from any album live or studio and you'll see how tight they are. Anyone could be playing lead or ryhthm.

Also; Stephan Lessard and Carter Beuford
