I love salsa. The tomato-based kind. But, I don't like cilantro. I'm always checking the ingredients before I buy a jar. And, I always get the hot version. Mild or medium are pointless. And I really like mega-hot salsa, like with habanero
Real talk, do you like salsa?

  2. It's a far cry from fancy, authentic salsa, but there is a pineapple-peach salsa at Safeway that I enjoy.

  3. Without cilantro, there is no salsa.

Homemade with tomatoes, yellow or white onions, cilantro, green onions, tomato sauce, vinegar, salt, maybe some sugar, and jalapenos with the occasional serrano or two.

What is it with Americans and cilantro? What's wrong with coriander?

Coriander is fine, that makes it chutney however.
    Not salsa.

Same here. Cilantro tastes like soap. :vomit: I'm not into insane hot, but commercial salsa hot is not hot.

And to quote that nice little old lady, I put that #$%& on everything (I know she isn't talking salsa, but I can't turn down a punchline).

BS - we have plenty of people in CT who make authentic. I'mnot talking Pace here. I had no problem with others getting in my pizza thread. Let's not be snobs, especially when you are wrong.

Dude, we have plenty of authentic restaurants here. There is one in town where the owner is from Mexico, and every Friday her mom comes in to make tamales fresh. Don't judge til you have tried.
