Ok here goes. This is a poll on your favorite brand of small cabinets and why. I'm thinking 410 and under.

I've been lookin' at Daedalus cabs (the S-125B)

I have ta' write`em for more specs, tho. Seems like just the thing for piezo-
equipped basses, like Turners and....Rob Allens? :p Gotta' figger solid oak,
walnut, or cherry would give a "different" tone than plywood or particle board.
  3. My home builts first.

Acme B4-II as favorite commercial cab.
  4. Acme Low-B2

4x10s: Glockenklang Take Five and Quattro

    2x10s: Glockenklang Duo

    2x12s: Glockenklang Double

Glockenklang is the reference for almost all German luthiers and small bass companies. For good reason.

But this is a cab that I'd like to check out:

    Tech Soundsystems NeoDynamic 210XT

2x10 Ciare Neodymium speakers, custom designed for Tech

    dynamic tweeter

    700W (!!!) - 4 Ohm

    535x650x420 mm (width, height, depth)

    18,5 kg

    And imagine - a 4x10 will handle 1400W!

All the Tech cabs I tested so far sounded superb!

http://www.salwender.com/ie_index.htm may have some info for U.S. citizens, although the product info is not exactly uptodate.

EBS 2x10" cabinets are unbelievably good. The 4x10" is great too, but it's so much bigger that it isn't so impressing to hear the huge sound.

Well I had ordered an Eden D-210xlt but it was back ordered and after several inquiries as to the arrival date I was told it would be another 2-4 weeks. So I went ahead and ordered an Aguilar GS 210 cabinet which should be here on Friday. I'll get to try it out this weekend and give a full report next week. Anyone have any experience with these? I'll probably augment this with one of my Peavey 410 cab for now but plan on getting another 210 or 115 in the near future.

Well it turns out my retailer screwed up my order again so it looks like I'll be getting the Eden D-210XLT after all. Won't be until next week though. Oh Well I wanted the Eden in the first place. review to follow.
  15. That is one dodgy lookin' speaker cab.

The Eden D210XLT sound is fabulous imo. It's a heavy little beasty though.

How much does that Eden xlt 2-10 weigh?
I have the 4-10 and they are about 100 lbs. Thank god I haven't had to move it yet.

The D210XLT weighs 68 lbs, whereas many other 2X10 cabs weigh significantly less. For instance, SWR's Goliath Jr. III weighs 55 lbs.

To me, the extra weight is a small price to pay for the massive tone.
